U3A History

We meet in the Lounge Room of St Thomas’ Church Hall off Timbrell Street, Trowbridge. New members are always welcome. Individual members do research and present this to the group, based on either an overall theme, or lately, we have chosen our own subject. We have found that this is the way we retain the information better.

Subjects have varied from : Josephine – a Love Affair; The Life of Rudyard Kipling; The Maginot Line; The North West Passage; Some Pioneering Women in Science and Engineering.

Members of the group can just come and listen, you do not have to do research or present a topic. We are very relaxed and find learning fun and lighthearted.

We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 2.15pm.

If you wish to join us please contact the Groups Co-ordinator.
