Computing – Apple MAC

U3A apple mac

Like the Computer Club, we meet at Southwick Village Hall on Tuesdays but unlike our sister group, our sessions are on the second Tuesday and fourth Tuesday of each month from 9.30 am.

The Southwick Village Hall is located on Frome Road, Southwick, BA14 9QW, approximately 150 metres on the west (Frome) side of the original Southwick Car Centre Garage and immediately next to/behind the new larger Southwick Car Sales Centre. The Hall has a car park at the front and another at the rear. It is also on a number 234 bus route; buses leave from the bus stop outside Trowbridge Town Hall.

Gatherings are very informal and our numbers are now such that we have outgrown the Throne room* at the hall and now meet in the Annex (Bar room).

We are fortunate to have sufficient expertise that we can just about manage some one to one time in our practical sessions. From that you may conclude that, to get the most from the group, you should ideally bring your own computer, either a laptop or, as some have been known to do, their iMacs. Any wireless connected computer will be able to take advantage of the venue’s free Wi-fi facility.

Our aim is to get all attendees, regardless of ability, to be able to do something new after every meeting.

We are a friendly bunch. Honest.

*Come and find out.
